Natural Resources Canada has nominated and recognized JELD-WEN® of Canada with the 2023 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award for continued leadership in protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. This special award is focused on JELD-WEN’s continued commitment as a participant to the ENERGY STAR program in Canada. The ENERGY STAR Canada Awards recognize organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements and that have maintained or surpassed its ENERGY STAR commitment and accomplishments of the previous year(s) in Canada.

The Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources said,

Your efforts are driving innovation in energy efficiency, helping Canadians to save money on energy bills and contributing to the fight against climate change. Manufacturing in Canada for more than 27 years, JELD-WEN continues to offer Canadians a full line of window and door products across the country at every price point. JELD-WEN of Canada, a subsidiary of JELD-WEN Holding, Inc., manufactures three regionally specific window and door collections out of their manufacturing facilities located in Manitoba, Ontario, and in Quebec.

Key accomplishments to date include:

  • Expanded offering of ENERGY STAR certified products available to consumers with the launch of their 2030-rated JW8500 window series.
  • Expanding their footprint across Canada, JELD-WEN of Canada also operates an exterior/interior door manufacturing facility in Quebec and an interior door manufacturing centre in Manitoba.
  • Rounding out their commitment to the Canadian marketplace JELD-WEN of Canada, operates a Moulding and interior door distribution centre in New Brunswick, serving all Atlantic Canada.
  • JELD-WEN has shipped tens of thousands of ENERGY STAR certified products for homes across Canada since 2003.
    This is JELD-WEN of Canada’s eleventh ENERGY STAR Canada award. Here is a list of their ENERGY STAR Canada award accolades: Windows and Doors Manufacturer of the Year (2012, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023); Sustained Excellence (2010 and 2023); Participant of the Year (2009); Promotional Campaign of the Year—Specific Product (2006).
